Pratapgad

 So, last year, we went to Pratapgad, but it wasn't like any other trekking trip; it was a family trip that we had planned for a long time. We travelled to Mahabaleshwar in our own private car, but Pratapgad was nearby, so we decided to stop there.Pratapgad is a mountain fort located in Satara district, in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra.The fort is situated 24 kilometres from the Mahabaleshwar hill station. Car parking is available at the Pratapgad foothills. Following that, we must walk and climb stairs that are still in good condition.While climbing the stairs, there are many small shops, hotels, and handicraft shops where locals can earn money.After about a half hour, you arrive at the fort's gate. The gates and everything are in excellent condition. We arrive at the location where people used to keep watch for the fort.The fort's historical significance is due to the Battle of Pratapgad, which took place here on 10 November 1659, between Shivaji and Bijapur Sultanate general Afzal Khan. Chatrapati Shivaji's killing of Afzal Khan was followed by decisive Maratha victory over the Bijapur army.There is a small museum and a handicraft store, and there are local guides who explain the history and show the cannons there.On that fort, you feel so proud and energetic that you can see everything around you. After seeing everything on the fort, we descended and ate the most authentic food pitla and nachini chi bhakri in one of the restaurants. We were full and moved on to our next destination.

    After the pandemic, we began a brand new life. It resembled a restart. Winter has just passed, and I my cousin made a fascinating decision. We therefore decide to go hiking. Asherigad..........

Today, I'm going to take you all to see the famous forts of Maharashtra Asherigad. which are close to Palghar and have a base village named Khodkona. So we took a private bus with our trekking group. On our way today, we picked up others who would be travelling with us. We initially arrived at the base village. We had breakfast after arriving there to regain energy. Next, a straightforward path took us to a dense woodland as we began our journey from the village. Because we were travelling in the winter, the village wasn't as green. You'll discover lush vegetation, new varieties of flora and fauna, gurgling streams, little waterfalls, rising sun, and sun sheltering behind trees. best time to visit this fort is in mid September to mid October. HIGHEST PEAK OF MAHARASHTRA

  Let me ask you all a question.... do  you guys know the name of highest peak of Maharashtra? yes, it is Kalsubai.  It is a mountain in the western ghats of Maharashtra, India. The starting point is the village of Bari in the district of Igatpuri in the city of Nashik.This trek was different from others because it was a night trek, which I had never done before.So we began as usual with our trekking group. We started at 3.30 a.m. from the base village; it was a very dark and cold night in Naishk.
