Pratapgad

So, last year, we went to Pratapgad, but it wasn't like any other trekking trip; it was a family trip that we had planned for a long time. We travelled to Mahabaleshwar in our own private car, but Pratapgad was nearby, so we decided to stop there.Pratapgad is a mountain fort located in Satara district, in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra. The fort is situated 24 kilometres from the Mahabaleshwar hill station. Car parking is available at the Pratapgad foothills. Following that, we must walk and climb stairs that are still in good condition. While climbing the stairs, there are many small shops, hotels, and handicraft shops where locals can earn money. After about a half hour, you arrive at the fort's gate. The gates and everything are in excellent condition. We arrive at the location where people used to keep watch for the fort. The fort's historical significance is due to the Battle of Pratapgad, which took place here on 10 November 1659, between Shivaji and Bijapur Sul...

A trip to the dry dam

Image
My cousin and I were getting bored on a typical day. But then we remembered it was our aunt's birthday. She had planned for us to go to Lonavala. We dressed up and prepared to go. She picked us up from our homes, and we set off in my uncle's Wagner car. It was a last-minute plan, and both plans are fantastic. We were having a good time in the car. Listening to music, doing crazy things like making memes and giiggling, clicking pictures, and so on. When we got halfway to Lonavla, we decided to have breakfast in a hotel before continuing on to our destination. Our destination was bhushi dam which is a masonry dam on the Indrayani River in Lonavala, Maharashtra, India. Before that, we stopped at a lake called Lonavala Lake. We took pictures and enjoyed ourselves. Then we arrived at our destination. We were excited to see the dam and the flowing waters from the steps, and we were eager to enjoy ourselves in the water, so we danced and But the most disappointing and surprising aspect ...

Today we thought of doing some thing different and more intriguing,so we decide to trek 2 forts in one day.To carry out this type of trekking, we looked for two such forts that were so close to each other that we could actually walk from one to the other. And we discovered that kalavanti and Parvhalgad are the two forts that are linked to each other. This fort are located in panvel prabhalmachi maharashtra.there was condition that we needed to go one day prior to the base village and then we can do trekking in night and complete two forts in one day and return home.So we packed our belongings and set out for the fort with our trekker group. We arrived at the base village in the evening and began our trek to the camping point, where we could spend the night and resume our trek early the next morning. We also went camping while trekking, which was one of the most amazing things I've ever done with friends. We only needed to cook food because the tent was already set up for us. We gather...

Harihar fort

Let us today visit the most thrilling and adventurous fort of all time, as well as trekkers' favourite hiking fort.is a fort located 40 kilometers from Nashik City, 48 kilometers from Igatpuri, and 40 kilometers from Ghoti in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, India. It is a significant fort in the Nashik district that was built to guard the trade route through Gonda Ghats. It attracts a large number of visitors due to its unique rock-cut steps.Although it was post-winter and there was no longer any farming being done, all of the fields were dry and clean enough to begin farming again at the beginning of June when we began our hike in the base village of Harvewadi. We were carrying a duffel pack weighing 10 kg. It was unpleasant to leave the field because the grass had all dried up and the sun had turned the ground golden. After hiking for an hour in the not-so-dense forest, but the scorching heat of the sun in the month of March was burning our skins, and some peopl...

HIGHEST PEAK OF MAHARASHTRA

Image
Let me ask you all a question.... do  you guys know the name of highest peak of Maharashtra? yes, it is Kalsubai.  It is a mountain in the western ghats of Maharashtra, India. The starting point is the village of Bari in the district of Igatpuri in the city of Nashik. This trek was different from others because it was a night trek, which I had never done before. So we began as usual with our trekking group. We started at 3.30 a.m. from the base village; it was a very dark and cold night in Naishk. The experts advised us to bring sweaters, hand gloves, and anything else that would keep us warm.I'd never felt such cold before in my life. We were shivering as we walked from the base village to the hiking spot, experiencing the strong and cold brezze; it was so cold that an eye drop could dry up quickly, and smoke was coming out of our mouths as we spoke, as if we were smoking hooka. We were sweating due to our sweaters as we started hiking after a while because of the he...

Asherigad..........

Today, I'm going to take you all to see the famous forts of Maharashtra Asherigad. which are close to Palghar and have a base village named Khodkona. So we took a private bus with our trekking group. On our way today, we picked up others who would be travelling with us. We initially arrived at the base village. We had breakfast after arriving there to regain energy. Next, a straightforward path took us to a dense woodland as we began our journey from the village. Because we were travelling in the winter, the village wasn't as green. You'll discover lush vegetation, new varieties of flora and fauna, gurgling streams, little waterfalls, rising sun, and sun sheltering behind trees. best time to visit this fort is in mid September to mid October. We finally arrived at the path where hiking begins with an upwards direction like ascending after spending several hours walking in the forest in the morning's blazing sun. Despite being a modest, well-made trail, the pebbles made ...
